There’s a lot of metal and concrete, but very little theming. The loading area for Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is really industrial. For those who need it, there is an elevator to take riders to the loading platform. Aside from that, there’s really nothing exciting about the queue area for this ride. In line, you’ll see some large screen displays that cover safety features and instructions for choosing songs on the ride. Instead, put everything into a locker beforehand. If you’ve got any loose items in your pockets or on your body, you won’t be able to ride. You’ve got to pass through a metal detector to get on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. Also, while Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit does not have a full inversion (there are no complete “loops”), you will feel like you’ve gone upside down. It’s definitely a unique feeling that we will explore later on.
The thing that makes people nervous the most (from what we’ve heard), is complete vertical climb at the beginning of the ride. Also, always check the ride height requirements before getting in line. Since this is the biggest ride at Universal Studios Florida, the wait times can get very long, so check the queue before lining up. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is absolutely a roller coaster, and it’s extreme in several ways but we’ll get into that in a bit. At nighttime, you’ll see blinking lights on the attraction which makes it look even cooler! Is Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit a Roller Coaster? Once inside the main gates at Universal Studios Florida, look to your left and you should see this big red and yellow ride. You can easily travel between these two parks by taking the Hogwarts Express between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. There are many things about Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit that seem intimidating at first glance, which might scare some people off. You can’t miss it when you walk through the main gates, especially at night. Construction is underway at some of the parks but has been delayed because of the pandemic, but estimates still put that opening some time in 2023.By far, the most extreme ride at Universal Studios Florida is Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. In this immersive land, guests will be able to participate in a real-life video game, doing things that Mario does, like hitting bricks (in real life) to collect coins collected virtually on a wristband. The announcement comes after Universal announced a Super Nintendo World at its parks in Florida, California, China and Japan. The Jurassic World VelociCoaster is scheduled to open in summer 2021. An amphibian Mososaurus tries to break through its tank, and there are encounters with raptors, T-Rex and the massively frightful Indominus Rex. The two parks share a flume ride: what is Jurassic Park River Adventure in Florida was updated to a much more technologically advanced Jurassic World: The Ride in California in 2019. There are also Jurassic Park-themed Kids Suites at Loews Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal Orlando. The Jurassic Park land in Orlando is significantly more extensive than in Hollywood-you can take photos with real jeeps from the movies (which are only visible on the Studio Tour in the other park), and there are a Pteranodon Flyers kids ride and a Jurassic Park Discovery Center that lets you explore the dinosaurs. This is the first Jurassic Park roller coaster for any Universal park, and is in the dinosaur area that’s also home to rides, restaurants and character experiences.
